Questions owners ask us

Will it sound robotic or annoy my customers?

No. It's trained on your business and writes like a friendly, switched-on receptionist. Try the live demo above. If it doesn't know something, it says so and takes their details rather than making things up.

What if it gives a wrong answer?

It only answers from the facts you approve. Anything outside that, like a custom quote or a medical question, gets passed to you with the customer's details. You see every conversation and we tune it every month.

Do I need a new website or any tech skills?

No. It works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify and any other site with one line of code, and we install it for you. Phone answering (Pro) works with your existing number: you forward the calls you miss with one code.

How fast can I be live?

Usually 3–7 days from your onboarding call.

Am I locked into a contract?

The first 3 months are the minimum so the AI has time to learn and prove itself. After that it's month to month. Annual plans get 2 months free.

Do I need a website?

No. If you don't have one, you get your own business page with your services, prices, hours, map, WhatsApp button and the AI built in. Put the link on your Google Maps listing, Instagram bio and Facebook page.

Can it answer my WhatsApp?

Yes, and the cheapest way is the WhatsApp plan at R299/month: customers message AskZuri's shared WhatsApp line through your own link or QR code, and your assistant answers as your business. That shared line is waiting for Meta's approval, and we message you the moment it is live. On Growth and Pro your assistant can also use your own WhatsApp Business number (connecting soon). That number can't be used in the normal WhatsApp app at the same time, so we'll help you choose: a new number for the AI, or moving your existing one over.

What happens with emergencies?

It recognises urgent situations and tells the customer exactly what to do and who to call, using the numbers you give us (and emergency services if anyone is in danger). Urgent leads are flagged so you see them first.

Do I keep my phone number?

Yes. On Pro your AI gets its own number, and one code on your phone forwards only the calls you don't answer, decline or can't take. Switch it off any time from your own phone.

What does it cost to run? Any hidden fees?

Your monthly plan covers everything listed for that plan. If you ever need more (for example many extra voice minutes), we tell you first and agree it with you. No surprise bills.

Is it safe for medical and dental practices?

Yes. The assistant answers general questions (prices, hours, which medical aids you accept) and books patients, but it never asks for ID numbers, medical aid numbers, card details or medical history. If a patient types one anyway, it is removed automatically before anything is saved, and the patient is asked to give those details to your team securely. It never gives medical advice.

Who owns the data?

You do. Your conversations and leads are yours, we never sell data, and you can export everything at any time. The assistant always tells customers it's an AI if they ask.

Is it GDPR / POPIA compliant?

Yes. We follow UK and EU GDPR and South Africa's POPIA. We process data only to provide the service to you, store it securely, and give you a data processing agreement. Your privacy notice should mention the AI assistant, and we'll give you wording.
